Te Horo Community Emergency Hub Update

Updated: Mar 31

The Te Horo Community Emergency Hub has temporarily moved, and is now at Te Horo School Hall whilst Te Horo Hall is undergoing earthquake strengthening and upgrade work.

Community resilience is all about building networks and strengthening relationships pre-emergency. The Te Horo community certainly demonstrated this during the fundraising for strengthening of the Hall - the community activities (eg blackberry picking, farm walks, a car rally, quiz nights, dances, concerts .......) brought locals together. It was a great chance for new and old residents to connect.

Resilience and preparedness go hand in hand. Te Horo Community Emergency Hub events are being planned around the temporary hub at the School and involving the school community. Watch this space for more information - soon.
