About the event
Registration and briefing from 9.15am. Meet at the Mansell Woolshed. This is a gently graded track, across the largest sheep farm in the area, with more than 400ha farmed by the Mansell family since 1933. You will be rewarded with amazing views across the entire Te Horo Plain and Otaki River as it sweeps to the sea. The total loop walk is 6.7 km involving a climb and descent of 273m, passing the GeoNet Station along the way. A shorter walk is to the GeoNet Station and return which is 5.6 km and a climb and descent of 150m.
