About the event
The Great Te Horo Road Rai$e Walking Series
Easter Sunday to 5th May, 6 consecutive Sundays!
Join us on a series of walks up and over local farms and into areas not normally open to the public!
Each walk is around 6km to 10km or do a shorter 5km option.
$10 each per walk, or do all six for $50.00, kids go free.
All walks start at 10am, rain or shine!

All proceeds go to Te Horo Hall Society Fundraising.

1. Pilet Farm & Cobb Farm, Arcus Road, 10am, Sunday 31st March
Starting from Te Horo Hall, we proceed along Arcus Road to the Pilet Farm, onto the Cobb Farm, complete an approx. 10Km circuit around farm tracks and paddocks, then back to Te Horo Hall for tea and coffee.
2. Walker Farm, 141 Te Horo Beach Road, 10am, Sunday 7 th April
Plenty of carparking, the walk goes through the undulating Walker Farm to Harakeke Road, along a bit, then back through the Wilson
Farm to Te Waka Road, and back to Te Horo Beach Road via the Walker Farm approx. 11km.
3. 276 Te Hapua Road, 10am Start, Sunday 14 th April
Ample paddock parking. The walk proceeds north tracking alongside extensive wetland areas to the highest sandhill in the area for
amazing views. Proceed on across the rickety rackety bridge through the horse farm and on to Pukenamu Beach. We then turn south and enjoy the breathtaking 3km back along Te Horo Beach to Te Hapua Road and our cars. 10km approx.
4. Faith’s farm ‘milk station’, 10am Start, Sunday 21 st April.
843 Old Main Highway at Te Horo (proceed along undulating farm races to Pukenamu Road and return via another farm race to our
cars.
5. Mansell haybarn on Gorge Road, 10am, Sunday 28 th April
A more calorie burning walk along slowly elevating farm track loops in Hill Country. Amazing views across the Te Horo Plain is your
reward! Walk gently downhill to your cars. The 5km walkers’ option is to come up partway and experience the big views and return!
6. 276 Old Hautere Road, 10am start, Sunday 5 th May.
A good flat paddock for parking. Proceed by farm track to a large lowland bush area rarely visited and now a QE2 Reserve. Proceed
north, carefully crossing Otaki Gorge Road, proceed along another farm track to a further large QE2 bush area overlooking the Otaki
River. Cross paddocks to link up with another farm race and return to our cars
